
Matthew James Millard was born in raised in the small town of Plant City, Florida. It was there that he uncovered his fervent love for writing entwined with his obsession with movies. Despite the absence of industry connections, Matt’s unyielding dedication to storytelling persisted. A transformative screenwriting class during his community college days ignited his passion, revealing boundless possibilities for his creative aspirations.
With invaluable experience gained in Atlanta’s film production realm, Matt’s unwavering ambitions beckoned him to the City of Angels in 2019. There, he swiftly transformed his own scripts into low-budget independent projects. While earlier films like “Foul Play” (2019) and “Absent” (2020) received modest attention, his latest ventures, “Saved” (2021) and “Strings” (2022) commanded significant acclaim. Garnering the Runner-Up title in the Scriptapalooza International Screenwriting Competition and reaching the finals of the Big Break Competition, “Saved” showcased Matt’s extraordinary potential. This was quickly followed by “Strings” securing a Semi-Final spot in the Emerging Screenwriter’s Sci-fi/Fantasy Competition and instilling in him a fervent determination to bring his project to the silver screen.
Presently, Matthew resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Sierra, and their goofy Australian Kelpie, Paisley. Fuelled by an unquenchable passion for writing and storytelling, he persistently embarks on his exhilarating journey in the film industry.
